Refund policy

We want you to enjoy your mushroom growing experience. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help. This policy outlines when and how you can return products purchased from our online store.

2. Returns

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for unused, unopened products in their original packaging.

  • Due to the perishable and live nature of mushroom cultures, spawn, and kits, we cannot accept returns of opened, used, or partially used kits unless they are defective on arrival.

  • Proof of purchase (order number, receipt, or email confirmation) is required for all returns.

3. Non-returnable items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Opened or partially used mushroom growing kits

  • Perishable items such as fresh mushrooms or live cultures

  • Items damaged due to incorrect use or storage by the customer

4. Refunds

  • If your return is approved, we will process a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days of receiving the returned item.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except where the product is faulty or the wrong item was sent.

5. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

  • If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.

  • We will arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund at no extra cost to you.

6. Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund.

  • If your order has already shipped, standard return procedures apply.

7. How to Arrange a Return

  1. Email us at info@fungilorious.com with your order number, details, and photos (if applicable).

  2. We will provide instructions for returning the product via courier or drop-off.

  3. Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will confirm your refund or replacement.

8. Compliance

This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (No. 68 of 2008) and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (No. 25 of 2002) of South Africa, which protect your rights when purchasing online.
