About the Team at Fungilorious
Our journey into the world of fungi began with simple wonder—watching the hidden life beneath the veld, marvelling at the way mushrooms appear overnight, and discovering their vital role in nature’s cycles. What started as curiosity grew into a deep respect for the incredible potential of fungi to nourish, heal, and inspire.
Today, that spark has become our mission: to spread the love for fungi, share our knowledge, and explore their many uses through hands-on research and community learning. We believe mushrooms are more than food—they’re a pathway to resilience, sustainability, and self-sufficiency. Mushrooms are very much under-researched, under-utilised and under-valued, and our mission is to change that.
We teach people to grow their own mushrooms in a cost-effective and accessible way, empowering individuals, families, and communities to cultivate fresh, nutritious food right at home. Whether you’re a beginner grower, aspiring cultivator, or simply curious, we’re here to guide you, support you, and celebrate the incredible world of fungi together.
